Clinic Participants Share Their Experiences

Don’t take it from us, take it from the clinic participants themselves! We are always honored to receive such wonderful evaluations and reviews of our clinics. We take each person’s experience very seriously and work hard to make sure everyone has a great time.

I was scared the first time I signed up for a clinic. I thought I wasn't a good enough rider to be without my support system (husband). I was so wrong and wish I'd have gone earlier in my riding career to avoid learning some bad habits.

I never felt intimated or like I wasn't good enough to be in a clinic and I was impressed that Stephanie always made an effort to work personally with each person on a skill they wanted to learn. She was able to immediately identify poor foot placement for me that was keeping me from mastering a (weak side) side hill.

I first met Steph back in Feb of 2016 for my first of 5 clinics. I was intimidated to be attending a clinic on my own with no friends..so much to the point when I broke a clutch spring on day one I told my husband “Don’t worry about rushing it, I’ll just ride with you guys tomorrow.” But he fixed it and forced me on my way. So thankful!

By the end of that day I was playing follow the leader with one of the most Badass Female Sledders out there! That one weekend with Stephanie ignited a spark in my heart for the mountains and sledding even more then the love I already had for the sport! Stephanie has a way of instilling confidence even when you have none in yourself in the first place. These clinics have brought me so much skill and friendships I can never replace. Ladies don’t let an opportunity to ride and learn from Steph, make the trip happen! You won’t have any regrets!

Look, I’m a beginner rider. My husband decided to come home with a sled for himself and I thought ‘what the heck, you don’t think I can do this?!’ So I borrowed a friends sled, took my first trip and on the way home from that trip I had bought a sled of my own. He took me out a handful of times, and tried to show me some things, some techniques. But let’s be real, I thought our trips were going to end in divorce! This sport was way harder that I expected it to be! The following season he surprised me for Christmas and bought me a sled clinic!

Steph was SO good to me. I wish I could type into words the amount of gratitude that I have for her for believing in me. She made sure that I wasn’t thrown into a situation that I wasn’t capable of. She would watch each and everyone of us do each exercise and give us tips to be better. She taught us basic skills that would then lead into bigger skills.

I can’t wait to get out again this upcoming season and practice the skills that Steph taught me.. I also can’t wait for my husband to see that I CAN do it... and I CAN keep up. This clinic was the best thing that my husband could of done for me!

A clinic with Stephanie Schwartz is undeniably the best decision I made in 2017. And I’ve been back multiple times every year traveling to different locations to keep progressing!

I was a trail rider from the Midwest, too scared to ever venture off trail. Well, that all changed after just one clinic. The confidence and skills I’ve learned from Steph and her outstanding coaches fuel my passion for wanting more!! Clinic atmosphere is fun, challenging, positive and encouraging for all skill levels because of knowledge and experience of Stephanie and her coaches!! The life long friendships that develop in the backcountry are priceless! Smiles for days!! Highly recommended & a definite bucket list must do!!
